Happy National Margarita Day! I love all of these fun and sometimes quirky “national” holidays that keep popping up. While some of them might be a little different, most of them are a great excuse to treat yourself and splurge a little during our day to day life so I love learning about new national holidays and indulging on things like donuts and wine! Since today is National Margarita Day, I’m sharing a little treat that you can enjoy after work tonight if you don’t have any plans yet.
Last summer I shared my obsession for moscow mules and how to make the perfect moscow mule – during my photoshoot for the post, I realized how much I love sharing little insights and tips into entertaining. Even though it’s not hanging wall decor and picking out new bedding, styling a bar cart for a party, or sharing my NYE entertaining essentials is a fun twist to the design and decor world. So to keep with the pattern of sharing posts that I love, I’m sharing a yummy recipe for Champagne Margaritas I found here for National Margarita Day. It’s super easy to make and it is guaranteed to pair well with chips and queso.
How to // Makes 2 drinks
Step 1: Salt the rims of your glasses. First, dip the rims in either a shallow dish of water or lime juice. Second, dip the glass in a shallow dish of kosher salt to coat the rims.
Step 2: Mix 2 oz. of tequila, 2 oz. of triple sec liquor, 2 oz. of pineapple juice, and 4 tbsp. of lime juice together in a shaker with ice. Strain the drink mixture into your glasses, only filling the glasses halfway. Gotta leave room for the bubbly!
Step 3: Top off the drink with your favorite champagne or prosecco. My favorite is Lamarca, you can’t go wrong! (this is not sponsored)
