I’m beyond excited to finally be sharing a peek inside a SouthPark home I’ve been working on for the past few months. When a friend from college reached out to me about taking on a design project and helping him create the perfect bachelor pad, I was ready for the challenge! This beautiful house was built in 1955 and was in need of a full blown makeover… and that’s just what it got. You’re going to be amazed at this transformation as I share a 3-part reveal covering the living room, dining room, and kitchen.
As you enter the house, you are welcomed by a large living room with french doors that open to the side porch, wood floors, and a fireplace with granite surround. The first thing to go – the lime green wall color. We lightened the space up with a warm neutral ‘greige’ paint color (grey/beige) and updated the trim with a crisp white. Some added details include an industrial style coffee table and console height desk, custom framed artwork by yours truly, and a mixture of rustic metal accents. I’ll let the rest of the pictures do the talking!
Did you notice the framed artwork above the sofa? When you can’t find something your looking for at the store, sometimes you just have to make it! I love how these abstract paintings came out and they were a home run with the homeowner! Here’s a little more detail:
Don’t forget to check back for part two – the dining room reveal!
